What does senior wellness screening include?
Our Healthy Ageing Assessment is designed to help pets stay comfortable, active and healthy as they grow older. By combining a detailed health evaluation with diagnostic screening, we can gain valuable insights into your pet’s overall wellbeing.

- Body weight, condition and muscle scoring
- Joint and mobility assessment
- Discussion of any behavioural or lifestyle changes

- Comprehensive blood testing

Our goal is to give you a complete picture of your pet’s health. If we identify any concerns during the assessment, we’ll review the results with you and outline any recommended next steps. Any further testing or treatment will be optional and subject to additional costs.
When is my pet considered a senior?
As a guide:
- Dogs: From 7 years of age (5 years for giant breeds over 40kg)
- Cats: From 8 years of age
The Healthy Ageing Assessment bundle is available once every 12 months for eligible pets.

How often should I bring my pet to the vet?
Keep your pet happy and healthy with regular (6-12 monthly) checkups! Puppies, kittens, and seniors might need more frequent visits. Not sure? We’ll create a care plan specific to your pet.
What sort of parking is available?
At Vet Hub, we have off-street parking available behind the clinic, just follow the driveway down past the clinic.
Is the clinic wheelchair and pram accessible?
Vet Hub is a wheelchair and pram-friendly clinic, with a dedicated easy access ramp.
How do I know if my pet is in pain?
Keep an eye on behaviour, appetite, activity, limping or vocalisation changes. Unsure? Call us! Our team knows the right questions to ask and can help you decide what’s next.
My pet has consumed something they shouldn’t have. Do I take them to the vet?
