I’ve been taking my 2 dogs to Stuart at both vet hub and Warrandyte vet for 14 years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Stuart and staff are very caring and really take the time to look after our fur babies Natasha Knight2025-12-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had two pups go in for some treatment and a couple of hours stay. Vets and staff were kind, considerate, and very caring of both the dogs and us. They didnt rush us out the door like other clinics, and gave us plenty of info for related things. They even called a couple days later to follow up and check in to see how the pets were tracking! Thanks for being so genuine, caring and friendly! Always available and never too busy to help or answer questions. Thanks guys! ☺️ for remembering what its all about. 🤩 Luis Rivero2025-10-31Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic service, the staff are friendly and attentive, we'll be happy to visit you next time. Kathryn Graham2025-09-16Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The team here always provides exceptional care and genuine attention, regularly squeezing us in for emergencies with our senior dog. On two occasions they’ve even kept him for the day for us at no notice to monitor and stabilise him, sparing us costly emergency vet fees. They take time to update us regularly, explain everything clearly and make sure our pet feels truly cared for. Unlike some other clinics, it never feels rushed or transactional. We’re so grateful to have found this vet clinic to care for our much-loved fur-baby and help us navigate his many health concerns. Went with my grandparents to get their poor cat put to sleep and the staff were so incredibly gentle and kind to my granma during the whole process Thank you so so much for making this difficult process that little bit easier xx Kasey Johnson2025-08-20Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr Stuart and the girls at Ringwood Vet hub go above and beyond. My puppy means the world to me, and they all made me feel comfortable leaving her with them to have a small surgery. The follow up phone call and check in the next day cemented that I had chosen a quality vet to look after my girl. I highly recommend them. Dr Stuart, Janet and Michelle have my vote! FAQs
How often should I book my cat in for a check-up?
Our friendly vets recommend regular check-ups every 6-12 months, including an annual vaccination!
Should I feed my cat wet food or dry food?
There is no straight answer when it comes to what to feed your cat. Age, breed and any health conditions need to be considered when selecting a diet. For kittens, softer food and smaller kibble is better while they have their baby teeth. In adult cats, it is important to include a dental kibble diet to help care for their teeth. Senior cats or those affected with renal disease will often need the additional moisture content of wet food.
Your cat may have a few things to say about their preferences too! Book an appointment with our Vets to determine what is right for your feline friend.
Why is my cat suddenly avoiding the litter box or straining to urinate?
It could be stress, a dirty box, or a more serious medical issue like a UTI or urinary blockage. Please call us as soon as you notice any straining, increased number of visits to the tray or inappropriate toileting to discuss if an urgent appointment is needed.
My cat gets furballs. Is this normal?
It is normal for cats to ingest some hair during their daily grooming. This hair can potentially cause hairballs that cats are unable to pass through their system and need to vomit up.
To help reduce how often vomiting occurs, brush your cat at least 3 times per week and feed them a high-fibre dry kibble as part of their diet. Please speak to one of our vets if vomiting is occurring more than once every few days.
Is my cat allowed to be outdoors?
Maroondah City Council require all cats to be confined to your properties at night.
While this means your cats are technically allowed outside during the day, we strongly recommend considering your cats’ health and safety before letting them outside.
Outdoor cats are at risk of being hit by cars, becoming lost, or attacked by other animals, including other cats. Outdoor cats are more likely to need more regular emergency medical treatments and are at risk of contracting illnesses like FIV and FeLV that have lifelong negative effects on their health.
At Vet Hub we recommend keeping cats indoors only or safely confined in an outdoor cat enclosure for their protection.
